Straight answers
Four we get asked every week
Electrics is one of nine trades out of the Harrow yard.
Do I actually need a full rewire?
Often not. We test first — plenty of houses need a board, a couple of circuits and earthing brought up to date, and we will quote that instead.
Will the walls be wrecked?
Cables get chased in and the walls made good by our own plasterer, ready for paint. That is in the price, not a job you are left with.
How long without power?
A board change is a day with the power back on by tea. On a rewire we work circuit by circuit so you keep sockets and lights while we go.
Is it notified to building control?
Yes — Part P notified through our scheme and the certificate is issued in your name, which is what a solicitor asks for when you sell.
