Straight answers

Four we get asked every week

Plastering is one of nine trades out of the Harrow yard.

Will the cracks come back?

Not if the cause is dealt with first. We rake out, scrim and skim — and if it is movement rather than plaster, we tell you that instead of covering it up.

How long before I can paint?

Five to seven days for fresh skim, longer in a cold house. We give you the date, and we will mist coat it for you if you would rather not.

How much mess is it?

One room at a time, sheeted floor to door, edges taped and vacuumed at the end of every day. The rest of the house stays yours.

Will you finish a job someone walked off?

Often. We price what is actually there — and if the cheapest route is taking the bad work off first, we say so before you commit.
